The Foreign Minister of Mongolia met with Ariel Sharon in Tel Aviv.

                  03.12.2003

Luvsan Erdenechuluun, foreign minister of Mongolia, had a meeting with Ariel Sharon, head of the Israeli government, in Tel Aviv. The Mongolian minister informed the Israeli prime minister that more than five hundred Mongolians are engaged in manufacturing and other services in Israel. Luvsan Erdenechuluun asked Ariel Sharon to do his utmost to secure the rights of Mongolian citizens in Israel. The Israeli prime minister replied affirmatively, and in return promised to provide material help to Mongolia in the form of youth seminars, and the introduction of new technologies.
Israel and Mongolia enjoy friendly relations, which date back to the beginning of the 1990s. This is the first visit to Israel by a senior Mongolian official in eight years. The Minister was accompanied by a delegation of Mongolian entrepreneurs who examined the possibilities for business cooperation with Israeli firms and the possibilities of Israeli investment in Mongolia (in communications, agriculture and real estate).
