Buenos Aires marks 1994 AMIA bombing
19.07.2005 Hundreds of people gathered in front of AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires on Monday to mark the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the building. At 9:53 a.m., the moment the bomb exploded on 17 July 1994, a siren was sounded. Afterwards, the names of the 85 people killed were read aloud and 85 candles lit. An additional candle then was lit by the British ambassador to Argentina, in memory of the victims of this month
