In light of the recent statements by the Iranian president calling for the destruction of Israel, in clear violation of the UN Charter, it would have been inconceivable for the leader of the world body to conduct business as usual in Tehran.
We urge the UN to consider further action to convey clearly and unambiguously to Iran that it cannot have it both ways
