Knesset delegation on a visit to Latvia.

A delegation of Knesset (the Israeli parliament) members was visiting Latvia from 12th till 15th of February. The delegation included two members of the Israel - Latvia interparliamentary friendship association of the Knesset. Among them: MK Avigdor Itzchaky (Chairman of the association), MK Esterina Tartman.
The visit of the Israeli delegation from the Knesset was hosted by the Saeima as part of the ongoing cooperation between the two Parliaments.
The Knesset members had several meetings with senior officials in Latvia including Saeima Speaker Indulis Emsis, Saeima Defense Committee, Saeima Foreign Affairs Committee, Latvian Jewish Community leaders and others. The Israeli officials also met Foreign Minister Artis Pabriks and briefed him on the current developments in the Middle East. This was taking place before FM Pabriks' scheduled visit to Israel.
