Xenophobia is an indicator of civic society development in the country.
28.02.2007 Initiated by the Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union (UCSJ) press-conference to discuss struggle against increased antisemitism and xenophobia in Ukraine was held at the largest Ukrainian information agency UNIAN.
Leonid Stonov, director of the International Bureau for Human Rights in the former Soviet Union noted that presence of xenophobia is an indicator of civiс society development in the country. He informed about launching new Internet-project named «Coalition against hatred» intended to monitor all kinds of xenophobia, antisemitism and neonazism in the countries of former Soviet Union and ensure active protection of human interests and distribution of tolerance ideas.
