Adolf Shaevich applies to Jos Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission.

                  10.05.2007

Following the relocation of a Soviet World War II memorial in Tallinn according to the decision of Estonian Government Adolf Shaevich, chief rabbi of Russia, applied to José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission.
"Estonia adjoins Nazi Germany, when calls Soviet soldiers – "occupants". Desecration of Soviet soldiers' grave, who saved lives of many Jewish people from Nazi Germany's policies meant to annihilate two-thirds of Estonia's population, is a provocative disregard of Holocaust problem", reads the letter.
Having criticized the decision of Estonian authorities in his letter addressed to President of the European Commission, Adolf Shaevich expressed hope that EU leaders will critically consider actions of Estonian government.
