                  The Ambassador of Israel to Belarus appreciated activity of Pinsk Jewish community on preservation of Jewish culture and traditi

                  The ambassador of Israel to Belarus Zeev Ben-Arie visited Pinsk. The visit actually started even before entering the city as representatives of local Jewish community led by its chairman Joseph Liberman met met delegation near a monument to partisans out of the city.
                  Later the honoured guest accompanied by Tatyana Khvagina, the president of Pinsk Association of Guides and Translators visited the Museum of Belarus Polesye and historical Jewish places around the city. The Ambassador also visited memorial to Holocaust victims, had meetings with local rabbi in a synagogue and local authorities in the city administration.
                  Meeting with members of local Jewish community took place in Polesye drama theatre was the last event of the Ambassador's visit to Belarus Polesye. According to Joseph Liberman, the Ambassador appreciated activity of Pinsk Jewish community on preservation of Jewish culture and traditions, and also on perpetuating memory of Holocaust victims and Jewish heritage of Pinsk region.
