Arkia Israeli company recieves permission to arrange regular flights to Kiev .

                  02.12.2008

The Ministry of Transport of Israel took another step towards an "open sky" and gave permission to arrange regular flights to Kiev for a second Israeli company – Arkia.
According to Maariv, the Minister of Transport Shaul Mofaz signed this permit as the result of an agreement with Ukraine made in July 2008. This agreement allows one more air carrier from each country to access the Tel-Aviv – Kiev line.
The appearance of a second company besides El-Al should lead to a growth in the number of flights, a healthy competition in price policy and an increase in comfort for passengers.
This December, Arkia will have already put its airplanes on the new route.
