                  Israel Issues Ultimatum to HAMAS

The Government will resume its consultations on the preparations for the forthcoming Gaza Strip operation only on Sunday, December 28.
Thus, Israel gives the Palestinian terrorists another opportunity to conclude the current round of confrontation without a major operation, which would entail many human casualties. According to sources in Jerusalem, "the decision on further developments will be taken during the nearest weekend, and it depends solely on the militants".
As a further gesture of goodwill to the Palestinians, trucks with humanitarian aid for local residents will arrive in Gaza today. "We let the trucks with aid through even before moving our troops into the sector", explain sources in Jerusalem.
This step once again tries to make it clear for HAMAS that it can still prevent the collision. "Barak still hopes to avoid a major operation in the sector", Jerusalem sources say.
HAMAS, in return, is not in any hurry to use the opportunity offered by Israel. "There is no agreement with Israel, and we do not have any obligation to keep the truce," said a source in HAMAS. Observers note that the Palestinian terrorist organizations are ready for a principled decision to engage in confrontation with Israel, and this decision is now defining all current steps of the gunmen.
The day before, missiles were discovered in southern Lebanon, ready to launch in the direction of Israel.
However, contrary to initial reports, the missiles were installed not by Hezbollah, but by Palestinian military alignments.
According to the military, these missiles could have striken Nahariya and Maalot.
