                  Delegation of Ukrainian Ministry of Justice and the Lawyers Guild Representatives Visit Israel

                  As reported by the IzRus portal with reference to official sources in the Ministry of Justice, the delegation included the1 Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine and representatives of the National Guild of Lawyers. The purpose of the visit was to study the organization of legal aid in Israel and to use the experience gained when developing a similar system in Ukraine.
                  The visit was organized by2 the Legal Aid Division of the Israeli Ministry of Justice. The program included a visit to the office of the management department, visit to the offices of legal aid, as well as district offices of the Lawyers Guild in different parts of the country.
                  The Legal Aid Department also organized visits to the Bar in Tel Aviv, the Supreme Court, Magistrate Court in Jerusalem, Magistrate Court in Tel Aviv, the Palace of Justice in Natsrate. During the tours Ukrainian guests met with several senior representatives of the judicial system of Israel, including a Supreme Court judge Elyakim Rubinstein, head of the magistrate court in Jerusalem, Amnon Cohen, as well as Judge David Heshin, deputy head of the Jerusalem District Court.
                  On returning home, the representatives of the Ukrainian delegation sent a letter of thanks to the Israeli Ministry of Justice, which emphasized on their desire to maintain friendly relations and promote business connections between the judicial bodies of both countries.
