U.S., Israel extend trade agreement
31.12.2008
President Bush announced in a proclamation Wednesday that the 2004 agreement between the U.S. and Israel to allow Israel duty-free access for certain quantities of agricultural products in the United States would be extended for one year, through Dec. 31, 2009. The proclamation said the extension would allow additional time for the two governments to conclude an agreement to replace the one forged in 2004.
The two countries entered into a free-trade agreement in 1985.
