Student from Uchta Convicted of Anti-Semitism.

RIA Novosti news agency reports: representative of the Investigation Service of Komi Svetlana Korovchenko says that a student of Uchta State Technical University, Andrei Paydimirov (Komi Republic), was sentenced by a local court to 90 hours of corrective labor for distributing a banned movie of anti-Semitic content on the local city computer network. Recently1 the Uchta City Court handed down the sentence. "The young man was found guilty of committing a crime according to part 1 of the article 282 of the RF Criminal Code," explained Korovchenko.
The criminal case was opened on October 27, 2008 by the investigative unit of the Uchta Investigation Service in Komi. According to the investigation's version, which was accepted by the court, the man, who was connected to the Uhta local computer network, gave users free access to the movie, which earlier had been recognized as extremist by Moscow court and included in the federal list of extremist materials banned for public display. "By his actions the Uchta citizen provided an unlimited number of people the opportunity to not only to see, but also to copy the prohibited movie," said the agency’s source.
