Attempt of a Terrorist Act in Toulouse Synagogue
07.01.2009
The terrorists set fire to a car, and were pushing it forward by a second car to ram the walls of the city synagogue, where about 15 Jews were praying at the time.
On breaking only a portion of the wall, the attackers left burning cars and fled.
The Jews who were in the synagogue were not injured, but the prayer hall and the building suffered serious damage.
The firefighters who arrived on the scene found a second car full of jerry cans with fuel, which, fortunately, did not go on fire.
If the terrorists had not been too cowardly to make sure that both cars were on fire, the synagogue would likely have been completely destroyed and the people inside - injured.
