Leonid Levin, Head of the Union of Belorussian Public Organizations and Communities, Sends Letter to the President of Israel on Behalf of the Jewish Community of Belarus

                  Dear Mr. Shimon Peres!
The Jewish community of Belarus is very concerned with the current situation in our home.
In these hard times for the whole Jewish nation and the State of Israel, the Jewish community of Belarus expresses our solidarity with you in the face of continuing acts of violence by Palestinian terrorists.
The provocative actions of the HAMAS Palestinian military group have caused a justified reaction of the State of Israel, aimed at ensuring the peaceful life of its citizens.
Each of us is with you today.
We understand that this is more than a mere shooting.
Hamas leaders refused to continue the truce and began massive attacks on the Israeli territories the very next day after the truce's end, on December 9.
The State of Israel, striving to ensure security and peace, has every right to protect itself from the constant missile shelling by Palestinian military formations.
On behalf of the Jewish community of Belаrus we express our support and solidarity with Israel's government and the people of Israel.
We pray for a peaceful resolution5 to this conflict.
Let there be peace and prosperity in the land of Israel!
