Stop the Cynical Rhetoric
08.01.2009
The world Jewish organization on fighting anti-Semitism (Anti-Defamation League) has condemned the cynical comparisons of Israeli soldiers to Nazis and exploitations of the word "Holocaust" being made at anti-Israel meetings and demonstrations.
"How can anyone compare the actions of the state fighting with terrorists and protecting the lives of its citizens with the genocide of a whole nation?
The irresponsible and cynical speeches of radical Islamic leaders falsify human history and should be restrained by legal means," said the Anti-Defamation League Chairman Abraham H. Foxman in his address to governmental bodies, published on the 7th of January.
"During recent public actions in civilized countries, we have observed the same fanaticism and heard the same inflammatory rhetoric that we used to expect only from radical Arab countries," underlines Foxman. "The demonstrators openly express support to Hamas, which is considered a terrorist organization in the States and in Europe, and according to the law, those who support terrorists should carry the appropriate punishment."
