                  Common Anti-Semitism on Cyprus

                  Common Anti-Semitism on Cyprus

Yesterday the Chabad Center and the Jewish cemetery in the city of Larnaca were attacked by vandals.
The walls of the Beit Chabad building were splattered by paint and rotten eggs, and at night a group of anti-Semites made a pogrom in a Jewish cemetery.
Police experts investigating the incident believe that at least 5 people participated in the cemetery devastation.
Rabbi Arie Zeev Raskin pointed out that since the beginning of military operations in Gaza, actions of vandalism against Jewish sites have been undertaken on a nearly daily basis, and Chabad activists receive telephone threats of physical violence.
Anti-Israeli protests and demonstrations eventually result in common anti-Semitism.
"We have reinforced security measures of our institutions, and warned all Chabad people about the need for vigilance, but nobody is panic-stricken. We are not afraid of threats and we are not going to stop our activities," Rabbi Raskin said.
