The Dnepropetrovsk Or Avner school holds a series of events for 65th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Thanks to support of Lo Tishkah foundation and Union of Jewish communities Alla Gelberg organized excursions for middle classes about war history in Dnepropetrovsk and mass graves of Hitlerist genocide victims.
In addition to the monument in the university botanical gardens installed on the site of mass shootings of Jews in October of 1941 the school students also visited a monument on Energeticheskaya street and Matzeva memorial in Pisarzhevsky park.
Igor Romanov of the Union of Jewish communities says, “Historical memory is an important component of national self-identification. Lo Tishkah and our Federation are honoured to participate in such noble work”.
