The Ohr Avner Chabad Day School held a celebration marking the end of the school year for students from grades one through four. A special ceremony was held for the 20 students in the first-grade class who finished their very first year of elementary school as well as the 20 students who completed the fourth grade.
Each of the “graduates” from the first and fourth grade received a certificate and a small gift. These were presented to the children by Rabbi Rabbi Matityahu Louis, the general director of the Ohr Avner Chabad School Complex and Samir Khanlarov, the school’s director.
The celebration was attended by parents, relatives, and staff, and included singing and dancing performances by the students. Skits, in which the students showed their appreciation to the teachers, staff and administrators of the Ohr Avner Chabad Day School, were enjoyed by the audience.
The youngsters and their parents expressed their gratitude to Lev Leviev, founder of the Ohr Avner Foundation that established and supports the educational complex. They also thanked Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar for his ongoing support of the Ohr Avner Chabad Complex in Baku.
