Russian-speaking Jewish Journalists to Establish Association

This proposal was initiated by the representatives of the World Congress of Russian Jewry (WCRJ), as reported by the IzRus portal according to information from within the WCRJ.
The plans to create the International Association of Russian-Jewish journalists were announced at the first working meeting of the renewed Israeli section of the WCRJ, held on January 17 in Tel Aviv. A website will be created on the basis of WCRJ site in order to provide for communication between Russian-speaking organizations. According to the WCRJ President Boris Spiegel, the Israeli section will be joined by new organizations, for example, the Union of Israeli veterans and siege survivors, the Association of Israeli entrepreneurs and others. Currently, the number of Israeli organizations which are members of the Congress rose from 28 to 37. "We have become stronger and more coherent, we are united by common ideology, the desire to solve the problems of Russian-speaking Israelis, to make the voice of Russian Jewry in Israel strong and influential," said Spiegel.
