Obituary - Famous Juvenile Author, Poet and Playwright Roman Sef
The famous juvenile writer, poet, playwright and translator Roman Sef died in Moscow on the 78th year of life, the Vesti TV channel reported on Friday.
The writer won the State Prize of Russia in 1991, headed the Association of Children's Writers of Moscow.
Sef is the author of several children's books: "Giants Walk", "Unusual Pedestrian", "My Song", "Golden Saber". His plays for children, among them "Emelia’s Happiness" and "Two Baba-Yagas," have been staged in more than 30 theaters.
Among his artistic translations are poems by Walt Whitman and the musical "My Fair Lady".
