JDC Presents Books to the National Library of Kazakhstan

Last week the American Jewish Distribution Committee "Joint" gave 1251 books to the fund of the Republican Jewish library.
These books are intended for readers of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan - literature on traditions and Judaica, books on history of the Jewish people, art, as well as a large amount of Jewish-themed fiction, and, of course, books for children. There are 151 titles in total.
Among the authors there are such masters of pen as Sh. Agnon, S. Glazer, E. Wiesel, I.B. Singer, M. Lehmann, M. Shalev, L. Epstein and many others.
Jewish libraries of Kazakhstan express their appreciation and gratitude to the JDC for the new literature for readers and the support of Jewish communities.
