                  Sholom Aleichem Forever

                  Procession of a large group of young people who are fans of Sholom Aleichem's talent, mostly students of the Yiddish department of social and humanitarian Academy, celebrated today in Birobidjan the 150-year anniversary of the classic of Jewish literature, which he raised to the world level.
                  The procession started from the monument to the writer, went down the main street of the capital of the Jewish Autonomous Region, which bears his name since 1934, and ended near the regional scientific library, also named in his honor.
                  As reported by the department of culture of Birobidjan, the days of Sholom Aleichem, which began a month ago, end today on the birthday of the author of immortal "Tevye the Dairyman," "Motl the Cantor's Son," "Wandering Stars" and other works by readings in the regional, as well as other large libraries of the area.
                  Hundreds of visitors became acquainted with a unique exhibition of works of Sholom Aleichem opened in early February in the academic library. It exhibits 150 volumes of his works in Yiddish, Russian and English. A selection of his books published during the writer's life in Odessa, Kiev, New York is also exhibited.
                  "The number of the admirers of the writer's remarkable talent has significantly increased during these events," said the mistress of Beit Seifer literary lounge Alla Akimenko. "This fact pleases and gives hope that Sholom Aleichem will always be with us."
