Distinguished Israeli Musician Gives Unique Concert in Dnepropetrovsk

In Dnepropetrovsk, the only concert of the outstanding Israeli pianist and conductor Vag Papian took place, where he played with the chamber orchestra named after Harry Logvin "Vremena Goda" ("The Four Seasons").
Vag Papian arrived in Dnepropetrovsk at the invitation of the Distinguished Artist of Ukraine, artistic director and conductor of a chamber orchestra "The Foure Seasons" Dmitry Logvin. This visit was part of a big international program: earlier, in February, Dmitry Logvin gave three concerts in Israel, conducting Ashdod Symphony Orchestra, the artistic director of which is Vag Papian.
Vag Papian is recognized as a world-class musician. He is a brilliant pianist and conductor, and, as he says, "a representative of the Russian school of music in Israel." He created and headed a symphony orchestra of the city of Ashdod, and at the same time, he heads the Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra. Vag Papian is actively touring, conducting various orchestras around the world.
A year ago, Vag Papian's son, David, an IDF soldier, was killed by Arab terrorists rioting in the Gaza Strip. In memory of his son, Vag Papian set up the charitable foundation "David," aimed to help talented young Israeli musicians to find an opportunity for creative realization without leaving the Jewish State.
At the unique concert in Dnepropetrovsk, held at the Gorky Theater, Vag Papian with the chamber orchestra "The Four Seasons" performed works of world classical music, including the overture to the opera "Don Giovanni," symphony number 39 and E-flat major in 4 parts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Piano Concert with orchestra number 1, C-major in 3 parts by Ludwig van Beethoven.
