                  Chairman of Union of Belarusian Jewish Public Associations and Communities (UBJPAC) Leonid Levin and Delegation of the Jewish Federation of Atlanta Meet in Minsk

                  "The Union of Belarusian public associations and communities is a key strategic partner of Atlanta in the Republic of Belarus," reads the site of the Union. "From this perspective we reviewed and discussed the present and future relationship issues between the organizations."
                  During the meeting the chairman of UBJPAC expressed great gratitude to Atlanta for the effective assistance to the Belarusian Jewish community.
                  The UBJPAC representatives attending the meeting gave brief information about the main directions of the Union's activities, such as the International Children's gatherings on the territory of Belarus, and other programs.
                  Information was provided on the activity of a community museum and "Holocaust Republican fund" public association, as well as the activities dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the destruction of Minsk ghetto.
                  Special attention was paid to work and life of Jewish communities in small towns of the Republic in the current financial situation.
                  The members of the delegation of the Jewish Federation of Atlanta were sympathetic to the issues raised.
                  Further cooperation through direct contacts was indicated.
