"House of Friendship" opened in Zhytomyr

The Jewish community of Zhytomyr wants to express its huge gratitude to the Fund of Friendship and personally to rabbi Jehiel Ekshtein for their sponsorship in the creation and opening of the charity cafeteria "House of Friendship." The Jewish community of Zhytomyr has had a working orphanage for Jewish children for a long time. However, now in the "House of Friendship" the children from the orphanage, as well as children from poor families, will be able to receive hot kosher food.
The opening of the House was attached to the festival-seminar "Shabaton," which was attended by over 100 of such children and guests from Zhytomyr and other Ukrainian cities, as well as from other countries.
The head rabbi of Zhytomyr, Schlomo Wilhelm, expressed his personal gratitude. "I would like to say that even if the help is not financial, but is instead in simple good deeds and good council, we will be happy to accept it. We are very glad that you are always so concerned for us and our children. We would like to wish you prosperity in return, and as much happiness as you have brought to us and our children. We hope that our collaborative efforts will continue in the future, and our children will not be deprived of your attention and care."
