Israeli Program to Help Count Belarusian Residents

An Israeli company won the tender for the supply of software for processing census data to Belarus. The representative of the company has already arrived in Minsk with a business visit, and installation of the system will soon begin.
In April, representatives of the Israeli company will come back to Belarus to prepare professionals for National Statistics Committee of Belarus, who will work directly with the system.
The population census, as reported by the Statistics Committee of Belarus, will be held from 14 to 24 October 2009. The census questionnaires include 7 sets of questions related to target attributes, attributes of households, demographic, economic, educational features, issues of international and internal migration, national and linguistic characteristics.
