Russian Federation President Dmitriy Medvedev Congratulates Russian Jews On Pesach

I warmly congratulate all Russian Jews on the Pesach holiday.
This bright and joyous holiday is linked to one of the most important events in Biblical history - the Exodus, which freed you from centuries of slavery. On these days, you [the Jews - ed.] return to the spiritual and moral roots and values the rich cultural heritage of the Jewish people. Acquired in those times, they still have enduring universal value.
The traditions of Judaism, as well as of other world religions, serve the convergence of people, their mutual understanding, trust, support, and peaceful cooperation. Today, Russian Jews are doing a lot for the successful development of our country, creating an atmosphere of tolerance and respect for people of different faiths and nationalities.
On these holiday days I wish you joy, prosperity and all the best.
                  Dmitry Medvedev
