Edelstein: Diaspora Jews receive distorted information on Israel

Minister of Information and Diaspora Affairs Yuli Edelstein (Likud) stated in his interview to the radio station REKA that the coming conference on racism in Switzerland was a farce. "I am glad that our efforts have been successful and a number of states have refused to participate in it. It is interesting that the accusers' of Israel are such states as Libya and Iran, where human rights are violated in every way possible." Edelstein also emphasized that it was very
difficult, even impossible to make Israel's ideological enemies change their mind. Nevertheless, he was in for a lot of work at his post - first of all, work with Jewish communities, with diaspora. "Because they receive so much negative information on Israel and it is important for us to show that this information is unreliable, that facts are obviously distorted and have nothing in common with reality", the Minister announced.
