During the visit of the guests from Austria to the History Workshop in Minsk, an agreement was reached on the exchange of information on the Holocaust of European Jewry.
As Kuzma Kozak, director of the History Workshop, told the Jewish News agency, the representatives of Austria had a tour around the memorial places of the Belarusian capital that are related to the Holocaust.
The guests from Vienna visited the Memorial Complex "Yama" (the Hole), a monument to prisoners of Minsk ghetto, the stones on the places related to the history of the Holocaust, and they also had a tour around the History Workshop.
During the discussion with Kuzma Kozack, the visitors asked about the Holocaust in Belarus, the history of Minsk ghetto, as well as educational programs on the study of Holocaust.
"The meeting was very fruitful," explained Kozak to the Jewish News agency, "as the guests did not simply answer all my questions about the Holocaust, but also promised to provide the information we are interested in, including names of the deported Jews, their memories, the places of deportation."
