Ceremony of Remembering Holocaust Victims in Dnepropetrovsk

A solemn memorial ceremony dedicated to the Victims of the Holocaust was held in the main prayer hall of the "Golden Rose" Central Synagogue, organized by the Jewish Agency for Israel.
The ceremony was opened by the reading of "Kadish" prayer, held by the manager of Jewish religious community Alexander Fridkis. After the prayer, he lit the candles to honor the memory of six million Jews killed by fascists and their
collaborators during the Second World War.
Next speakers were the second secretary of the Embassy of the State of Israel and Director of the Center for Israeli culture Elena Karol, and Head of the JDC mission Amir Ben-Zvi.
Renata Kogun, a participant of the trip to Poland, recently organized by JAFI, shared her impressions after visiting the death camps, created by the Nazis on the territory of occupied Europe.
The activists of the youth clubs "Campus", which works under the auspices of the JAFI mission, presented a literary and drama composition, dedicated to the Holocaust of European Jewry, the greatest tragedy in human history.
