Yom ha-Zikaron in Dnepropetrovsk Jewish School

Levi-Yitzhak Shneerson, the solemn ceremony, dedicated to the memory
of soldiers, who died in the wars of Israel, and the victims of terrorist attacks, took place
The Yom ha-Zikaron memorial ceremony was organized and hosted by the Center
of Israeli Culture. The school hall was darkened, on the walls there were
pictures of the IDF soldiers, who gave their lives for the freedom and
independence of the Jewish state.
Those who were present paid tribute to the heroes with a minute of silence.
Funeral prayers for Israeli soldiers and victims of inhuman terror were read by
the Jewish religious community chairman Rabbi Gersh Korol', and the executive
director of the Jewish religious community Alexander Fridkis.
The mourning ceremony was attended by the Second Secretary of the Embassy of
Israel in Ukraine, Director of the Center for Israeli Culture Elena Karol', the
Chief Rabbi of Dnepropetrovsk and Dnepropetrovsk region Shmuel Kaminetsky, the
Head of the Jewish Agency for Israel mission Reuven Greenberg.
Deputy Director of the Jewish school for the education Larisa Kurilenko
expressed gratitude to the Center of Israeli Culture for holding
this event in the Dnepropetrovsk "Or Avner Chabad-Lyubavich" Jewish schoolnamed after Levi-Yitzhak Shneerson.
