MFA of Ukraine Demands Explanations of Israel Over Death of Odessa Resident Albina

The 36-year-old Albina Stahurskaya was unable to evacuate in time and was killed in Gaza strip during the anti-terrorist operation "Cast Lead".
Ten years ago, this citizen of Ukraine married a Palestinian, Awni Al-Jaru, and bore him three children, one of whom was killed along with his mother.
Some time ago the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine appealed to the Israeli colleagues for explanations of the circumstances of the woman's death.
To date, there are several versions of the death of a citizen of Ukraine in Gaza. The woman's husband alleges that the house where she was with the child, was shell fired by soldiers of IDF.
According to another version, the detonation of a shell in a neighboring building led to a collapse, which killed Albina Al-jaru. According to the version of German journalists, next to the house of Al-Jaru family, militants of Hamas organized a military point, and a woman was killed in a crossfire of terrorists with the Israelis, reports IzRus.
Inquiry on the case was referred to the military prosecutor's office for further investigation. It is noted that the Ukrainian side could make a large monetary claim against the Ministry of Defense of Israel because of the death of Albina Al-Jaru.
Note that during the military actions, the Israeli Government organized a humanitarian corridor and allowed the citizens of the CIS countries with permanent residence in the Gaza Strip to evacuate freely from its territory.
