Another Student Accused of Inciting National Hatred on the Internet

In the Arkhangelsk region, a 20-year-old vocational school student is charged with inciting hatred and enmity on the basis of nationality on the Internet.
According to the investigation, in the period from June to August 2008, the student posted various statements on his page in the social service "Vkontakte." These statements, according to the conclusions of a linguistic expertise, include negative evaluation, were aimed at disparagement of individual national groups (Jews and people from the Caucasus region). The student expressed a hostile, aggressive attitude towards them, promoted the need to combat them, as well as the alleged incompatibility between the Russians and Jews. He also called for extremist activity, as "Interfax" was told in the press service of the investigation department of the prosecutor's office in the Arkhangelsk region of Russia.
The restraint measure for the accused was chosen a written undertaking not to leave the city. The investigation of the case continues.
In the Arkhangelsk region, investigation on the criminal case against a 22-year-old local high school student, who had posted Nazi symbols on his page in "Vkontakte" network, as well as humiliating statements against Africans and Jews, is currently in progress.
