Netanyahu, Abdullah meet
14.05.2009
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flew to Jordan to meet King Abdullah II.
During the Thursday morning meeting, Abdullah reportedly pushed Netanyahu to declare his commitment to a two-state solution, according to reports.
The meeting comes ahead of Netanyahu's scheduled visit to the White House next week. Abdullah was the first regional leader to meet with Obama last month. Netanyahu flew back to Israel immediately after the meeting for a meeting in Nazareth with the pope.
President Shimon Peres is scheduled to meet Abdullah in Jordan on Sunday to discuss a joint approach to the Mideast peace process.
