In Mogilev Arts Museum, an exhibition devoted to the Jewish sculptor Abram Zhorov, who died during World War II, took place.
Abram Zhorov, born in Mogilev, was a famous artist in the pre-war Belarus.
Unfortunately, he died at the battle-front during the Second World War, and his work has not been preserved.
But the memory of him and his work has remained, and it was presented at the exhibition as photographs of the sculptor's works.
The artist's daughter Svetlana Zhorova now lives in Mogilev and is a known composer in the city.
During the exhibition opening, she spoke about her father - his life, work, military exploits.
The songs by S. Zhorova were performed by a Jewish choir "Taybeleh" and music college students of Mogilev.
The exhibition, timed to the Victory Day, the works by the artists-soldiers were also presented.
