Lithuanians Call Charges of Murdering Jews "Slander"

The site jewish.ru with reference to Delfi reports that members of the Lithuanian Seim appealed to the General Prosecutor's Offic of the country, demanding to begin the pre-trial investigation in respect of the Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel.
The scandal erupted after the site of the Association published the names of Lithuanians who had allegedly participated in the genocide of Jewish people.
Among them were the honored people of Lithuania - the participants of anti-Soviet resistance, who have been defamed, MPs believe.
"We are outraged by the defamation of the honoured people in Lithuania, which is spread by the so-called 'Association of Lithuanian Jews in Israel," reads the statement of the 'Motherland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democrats' parliamentary fraction. "These are the well-known Lithuanian partisans - Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas, Lenginas Valyukyavichus-Dzukas, Juozas Barzdas-Bradauskas, Juozas Lukshas-Daumantas and others."
Members of the Sejm call on the President, the Foreign Ministry and other government institutions to resort to diplomatic measures in order to prevent the spread of unfounded accusations and stirring up discord.
