As reported by the correspondent of the "New Region", the Jewish community in Moscow had addressed the Russian Federal Supervision service in the area of education and science with a request to postpone the Integrated State Exam in the Russian language for the graduates of Jewish schools of Moscow, which is scheduled for May 29. It was suggested to reschedule the examination for Jewish 11th grade students for June 11. After Jews, the Muslims also began talking about postponing the exam, while for them Friday is a day of collective prayer.
The Russian Federal Supervision service in the area of education and science explained that religious beliefs can be considered a valid reason for postponing the test. But there can be no mass rescheduling: the question is solved on an individual basis and only on the ground of private applications by the student or his parents.
So far, only one Jewish student has filed the appropriate application. The reserve date for passing the Integrated State Exam in the Russian language is June 17.
