                  Youth Club Leader in Arkhangelsk to Work 120 hours Because of Promotion of Extremism
                  The leader of the youth club "Patriot's Opinion" in Arkhangelsk Alexey Mikhailov was sentenced to 120 hours of work for distributing among the club members extremist literature, reported RIA Novosti on Friday with reference to the press service of Federal Security Service regional department in Arkhangelsk region.
                  The court found Mr. Mikhailov from January to December 2007 deliberately, aimed at inciting hatred and enmity towards Jews, representatives of other nations "of non-Slavic origin," was distributing extremist literature among the members of the club "Patriot's Opinion."
                  In addition, at one of the meetings of the abovementioned club, Mikhailov said statements and words containing degrading characteristics, drastically negative emotional assessment and negative guidelines in respect of non-Russian nationalities. In particular, African Americans, Jews, immigrants from the North Caucasus region and Central Asia.
                  "The distributed literature, according to the conclusion of a comprehensive psychological and psycho-psychiatric examination, contained statements intended to incite public religious or national hatred, advocating intolerance and hostile attitudes toward Jews, the modern state regime, the ideology of communism, as well as Judaism and Christianity", the press service officials stated.
