Jewish Philantropist Viktor Pinchuk Becomes Honorary Citizen of the Capital of Ukraine

Member of the Board of Trustees of the Council of Dnepropetrovsk Jewish community, the famous Ukrainian patron of the arts and philanthropist Viktor Pinchuk has accepted the title "Honorary Citizen," granted to him by Kyiv municipality.
As the site of Viktor Pinchuk's Foundation reads, "by the decision of the Kyiv city council, for 'a significant personal contribution to the development of business in Ukraine and the city of Kiev, strengthening the international authority of Ukrainian capital - Kyiv, personal achievements in public, social, philanthropic and cultural fields, and also for the Day of Kyiv celebration,' Viktor Pinchuk has been awarded the title "Honorary Citizen of Kiev."
For over 12 years, Viktor Pinchuk has been developing and supporting various charitable projects. In 2006, he united all these activities in the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation, which is recognized as the largest charitable organization in Ukraine. Its largest and most significant action has been the grand concert by Sir Paul McCartney in June last year on the central square of Kiev, the so-called "Maydan," in an event known as the "Independence Concert."
One of the best children's educational centers in the world, the Dnepropetrovsk "Beit Tsindliht" was created with the support of Viktor Pinchuk, and bears the name of his grandparents - Fanny and Joseph Tsindliht.
