"Days of Sholom Aleichem" Festival Starts in Moldovan Jewish Cultural Center "KEDEM"

The festival, devoted to the 150th anniversary of the great Jewish writer, will open with a big conference of the mini-Hevruta. Leading philologists, historians, connoisseurs of the classic writer's work have prepared a number of interesting reports for this day.
Among the reports there is a message by the well-known bibliographer of the Jewish Library of I. Manger Cultural Center, Sarah Shpitalnik "The great classic of Jewish literature Sholom Aleichem," report by the Director of the Museum of the History of Jews of Moldova Dorin Shlaen "Sholom Aleichem on the stage of the Jewish folk theater. Late 1960s," and a report by a leading linguist of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Irina Shikhova "The life and creative legacy of Sholom Aleichem."
A week later, the festival will continue its work with a number of concerts, film shows, an exhibition of books and other weekend activities.
