Obama and Netanyahu have phone conversation

President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a 20-minute phone conversation on Monday.
The two men discussed "a series of issues" in a "positive" conversation, according to a release from the Israeli prime minister's offfice. Netanyahu discussed his intention to make a "diplomatic speech at the beginning of next week, in which he will outline his policy to achieve peace and security," and Obama said he was looking forward to hearing the speech, according to the release.
In its release, the White House called the talk "constructive," and said that the president "reiterated the principal elements of his Cairo speech, including his commitment to Israel’s security."
The two men agreed to continue "maintaining an open and continuous contact between them," according to the Israeli release.
