IDF arrests wanted Al-Aqsa gunman in Nablus

The Israel Defense Forces on Friday arrested a member of Fatah armed wing Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in Nablus. The man had been wanted by security forces for several years over his involvement in several terror attacks.
The IDF Spokesman's Office said that Nasr Mahmoud Abu Kishk, 34, had been involved in numerous West Bank shooting attacks, as well as in the killing of Palestinians suspected of cooperating with Israel. He was also involved in weapons trafficking, the IDF said.
Among other activities Abu Kishk was involved in the March 2001 Yitzhar shooting, in which the Samaria Regional Council security officer Gilad Zar was seriously wounded.
In addition, Abu Kishk is also suspected of perpetrating a large number of shooting attacks directed at IDF forces in Nablus, and of murdering a Nablus resident suspected of cooperating with Israel.
Lately, according to the IDF Spokesman's Office, Abu Kishk has been involved in large-scale weapons trafficking, as well as communicating with terrorists planning attacks against IDF units, attacks which were ultimately intercepted.
