The anniversary concert of the ensemble "Zilber" timed to the Festival of a Jewish book took place in city Puppet Thea

Jewish vocal-dancing ensemble "Zilber" exists in Nizhniy Novgorod during 5 years. On November 3 the anniversary concert of ensemble dated to the Festival of a Jewish book and 30th birthday of the head of the group Inta Serebro took place in city Puppet Theatre.
"Zilber" unites not only Jews - professional actors supervised by the remarkable singer, the graduate of the conservatory, the musician and choreographer Inta Serebro. The ensemble exists at the auspices of Nizhniy Novgorod Society of Jewish Culture "Tsvi Girsh" and for the fourth time it opens the Festival of a Jewish book organized by this society and transformed into real holiday of Jewish art. The initial repertoire of the ensemble consisted of Yiddish songs and dances, but today it has extended due to Israeli songs. Every year the ensemble represents the new program, but the anniversary concert became something special.
Actors have presented not only new dances and songs, but also some of their former things as well as compositions based on creations of Offenbach and Bernstein. Though this concert went beyond a simple benefit performance of "Zilber". Except for heads of all Jewish organizations of the city and representatives of regional and city authorities among those who greeted actors there were amateur collectives of national Nizhnegorod societies - Armenian cultural center "Nane", Tatar cultural-educational center "Yaktashlar", societies of Ukrainian culture "Dzherelo".
