Conference of the World Congress of Bukhara Jews.

The opening ceremony of the conference of World Congress of Bukhara Jews took place In Moscow Jewish Community center in Maryina Roscha. Among those who took the floor at the conference there were: Lev Levayev, the President of the World congress of Bukhara Jews; Berl Lazar, the Chief Rabbi of Russia, Yakub Leviyev, the President of the Russian Congress of Bukhara Jews, Sholomo Ladayev, the Rabbi of the Russian Community of Bukhara Jews, Shmuel Kesler, the Director of the Welfare Fund "Joint", Cohen Amnon, the deputy of the Israeli Knesseth, Nathan Meron, the Ambassador of Israel in the Russian Federation and others. All speakers have noted the community of Bukhara Jews is faithful to traditions at all times. It is very strong, especial due to support of the most known Bukhara Jew Lev Levayev who finances numerous projects for the good of Bukhara Jews and representatives of all Jewish people. After the opening session there took place the ceremony of entrusting the Torah roll.
