                  The presentation devoted to editing 7 volumes of the Book of Memory was held in Moscow.

                  The Union of Jewish Invalids and Veterans of the Patriotic War (UJWIV) issued, on December 4, the Book of Memory of the soldiers-Jews died or perished at fronts of the World War II. It became the first attempt to immortalize memory of the soldiers, whose names till now were ignored or were not known at all. This book documentary denies the version that Jews, ostensibly, did not participate in fights and battles of Patriotic War, and were hiding in deep rear.
                  UJWIV, at support of the Jewish charitable organizations and individual sponsors, has been working since 1992 at edition of the Book of Memory. These books are based on the testimonies of relatives as well as at documents of the Central archive of the Ministry of Defense of Russian Federation and Russian State archive of Navy.
