In the nearest future Natan Meron, the Ambassador of Israel in Russia, will leave home. He has informed about it in the interview to the newspaper "Trud". He considers, that during his being at this diplomatic post Russia and Israel have found mutual understanding on many questions: "Affairs in the Near East are not in the best shape but our relations are rather close, perhaps, as it has never been before. We, for example, treat Vladimir Putin as the friend to Israel. I wish the coming ambassador to receive, first of all, not less satisfaction from the work as Moscow is a very important direction for us. Let him use all considerable opportunities available today, show the initiative and communicate as much as possible. Practically all doors here were open for me. From both sides there is obvious aspiration to keep on developing our relations".
