The Volgograd Jewish Community needs a building.
11.12.2002 They consider the request of the Jewish religious community as for transfer a building in Voroshilovsky region to its gratuitous possession. The question is about the premise located along the Balahninskaya 2 street. Once there were two synagogues in Tsaritsyn - one was along the Port Said street (where now there is a physiotherapeutic polyclinic), and another was a school-synagogue settled down right at Balahninskaya 2. Now the housing-repair shop is located there. Solving the matter would require additional investment from the city budget. However, it is known the treasury of Volgograd experiences sharp deficiency of budgetary funds and, as deputies have mentioned, this circumstance would cause the transfer of building to be postponed.
