The Kostroma synagogue has undergone the assault.
18.12.2002 The Kostroma synagogue again has undergone the assault of anti-Semites. Recently unknown hooligans have broken with stones the glasses and have left offensive inscriptions at the fence.
It is not the first time when Kostroma vandals play their tricks at the synagogue. But if before it was limited by anti-Semitic inscriptions on walls now stones are also in use.
Expecting the worst, all people in the synagogue got on the floor. Therefore nobody saw the hooligans. Later the eyewitnesses observing the action from the street have told that it was the group of youngsters, approximately eight persons. Hooligans have quickly scattered in different sides, and nobody has remembered how they looked. Before that they had time to write with a chalk some anti-Semitic slogans on a fence. Militia of the Central district where the application from the Jewish community has been submitted say it will be extremely difficult to find these youngsters.
