Meeting of the Governor of the Rostov area, Vladimir Chub, with the Chief Rabbi of Russia (FJCR) Berl Lazar.

In Moscow the Governor Vladimir Chub has met the Chief Rabbi of Russia (FJCR) Berl Lazar. Traditional religious organisations play an essential role in preservation of peace and consent in the Don lands, Vladimir Chub has emphasised.
The regional administration realises the contribution of the Jewish Diaspora representatives in development of education, science, culture, public health services, art, manufacture and business in Don area and supports activity of the Jewish religious communities. During the meeting the sides have discussed a wide range of questions on interaction of the regional administration with the Federation of Jewish Communities, in particular, the ways of attraction of investments. It is known, trade of Rostov area with Israel makes three percent in export and 0,1 percent in import parts. It is not much, mentions administration site of Rostov area. Among the goods exported by the Don manufacturers there is grain, steel half-stock items, ferrous metals pipes, sunflower oilcake. Therefore Don is interested in expansion of trading links, attraction of investments and it looks for assistance of Federation of Jewish Communities in this process.
