Leaders of the World Congress of Russian Jews greeted the decision of the RF Ministry of Justice to warn the National State Part
14.01.2003 The leadership of the World Congress of Russian Jews supported the decision of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to pronounce warning to the National State Party of Russia (NSPA). Greeting the decision of the Ministry of Justice, provoked by a scandalous interview by Boris Mironov, a party's leader to "Moscow News", the leaders of the World Congress of Russian Jewish Congress stresse that "even without taking into account Mironov's slogans, there is enough grounds to revoke the registration of this party", which leaders express pathological xenophobic attitude towards non-aboriginal people of Russia, especially Jews.
The declaration reads that "the attempts by the leaders of the party to refuse to acknowledge the declaration by Mironov will not hide the true objectives of this party which includes nationality based limiting of the rights of the citizens of Russia, sowing discord between the nationalities, building of a society based on racial discrimination".
On September 30, 2002, the leaders of the World Russian-speaking Jewish Congress already sent President Putin an open letter protesting against the registration of the party.
The WRSJC declaration issued on January 14, 2003, stresses "that the case of the registration of a practically fascist party has become a litmus paper testing the new Russian authority's attitude towards the problem of relations between different nationalities population the country. The world is waiting for the leaders of Russian to take a specific and timely decision".
